The other day, the tip was to use lids while cooking to trap in water so the steam can cook the food faster.
Well the lovely @solar_alchemy made a good point!
By using lids and allowing steam to help cook food, you can actually turn the stove off sooner and let the steam take care of the rest of the cook time.
So I will be experimenting to see how soon I can turn off the stove. Thanks steam and science!
